Martin Buese, see: Huiyang Li and Guido Brettschneider have been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to the Board of TUI China, in which TUI AG has a 51% share. Spokesperson for the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) remains Martin Buese. 5/03; TUI China in Beijing, a joint venture between TUI AG, China Travel Service and Martin Buese, is scheduled to start up in June. 5/03; TUI Deutschland GmbH now holds 50.1% of the shares of Kiel long-haul tour operator Gebeco. Gebeco founder Martin Buese left the company to become GM of CTS. 12/02; TUI AG will be the first European tourism group to establish itself in China. An agreement was signed November 13 at the tourism fair in Shanghai on setting up a joint venture company involving TUI AG, China Travel Service (CTS) and the third shareholder Martin Buese. He will manage the new company directly from China as its executive board chairman. 12/02

Roland Busch has been appointed Senior VP Corporate Finance at Deutsche Lufthansa AG, effective March 2004. He has been head of corporate audit at Lufthansa and succeeds Stephan Gemkow, who has joined the Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo AG. 2/04

Peter de Jong is the new CEO of PATA, effective November 1, 2001. For the past 10 years, Mr. de Jong has served as the Director General of the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO), the global travel trade association for the youth and student travel industry. 11/01

Herbert Ebertz: Accor has signed a binding pre-agreement with Dr. Herbert Ebertz, the primary shareholder of German hotel-industry leader Dorint AG. Under the terms of the agreement, and following a capital increase approved by Dorint AG shareholders at a Shareholders’ Meeting on August 16, in Hamburg, Accor will hold a 26% interest in the German group. 9/02
